Just as the country artist Brad Paisley sang, "Every one of us exists all because two people fell in love." It's amazing to see a family of 4 generations all come together. Well, this past June, that's just what happened! Many of us Gabriels gathered on the farm in NY for stories, food and fun! We all had a great time.
This was extra special for me personally to be able to bring my husband and daughter to the farm for them to see where my roots are, and for Kathryn to meet her great-grandma! I was only 12 years old when my family moved out to UT, so my memories of NY aren't quite as vivid as my sisters'. I loved coming back and just taking everything in to load up my wonderful memories of where I came from and my family!
I hope that this blog can continue to record our family's memories, events, anything that we want to remember. It's like an ongoing family newsletter with NO DEADLINES! Yay!! If there are any extra stories that Grandma, Grandpa or any of the children/grandchildren want to tell, please post them so we can preserve as many memories as we can. For those of you who got video clips of Grandpa telling his stories, you can upload them directly with your posts and we can all benefit from them. I've been having some trouble uploading my videos lately, but I'll be sure to post tips and instructions when I figure it out. In the mean time, happy blogging!
