Elder Gabriel's Homecoming

Here is the moment we have all been waiting for...Cameron is home! It was such a fun experience to witness the reunion between missionary and family after 2 years. Klint commented on how the feeling we all had around Cameron was such a strong witness that he served a very honorable mission. We are so glad he is home and very proud that he has served the Lord and impacted so many people in Brazil with his testimony of Jesus Christ. Welcome home, Cam! We love you!

Halloween at the Sharp's!

This year my idea for a costume just came into my head like a lightning bolt of inspiration! I was FLO, the Progressive girl. The progressive commercials might be annoying to you all at this point, but I hardly ever watch T.V. so I haven't seen too many of them. I dressed up 3 times this year!! Got good mileage out of the costume. This was definitely a fun year for Halloween. I loved all the pics of kids! They look so adorable.

Elder Gabriel was dressed as a "Real Missionary" this year! This is an allusion to the great conference talk by Matthew O. Richardson. He is doing so well and I hope you are all getting his emails. His coming home date is December 28th!! Time is flying by!

Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was a little crazy with Carley being sort of sick still, but we made it through! The girls dressed as a butterfly and ladybug (all with stuff we already had, which is awesome!) and I joined in the fun by donning my summer hat and makeshift bug-catching net. The only trick-or-treating we did was up at Kylen's office; they do it every year. Fun for all the staff to show off their kids and grandkids and fun for me to get more than enough candy for little kids in 1 indoor place. So nice and easy! And good thing I only bought super cheap candy that doesn't tempt me to eat it all because we only had like 4 groups of trick-or-treaters at our place. I kind of feel like a "Halloween Humbug", but I'm sure as the kids get bigger we'll get more into it.

October Moments Without Sickness...

October totally flew by, mainly because half of it has been full of doctor visits and being on the phone chatting with the kids' nurse. I have to say, though, that I really like the kids' doctor and his staff. It's just 1 guy, so it's never crazy busy, and they get very special attention from everyone. The receptionist and I are on 1st name terms now, so whenever I call and say who I am, she asks how Carley is doing and chats with me. So grateful to have such a supportive pediatric staff for my kids. Carley's skin is still very sensitive and she even had another ear infection last week, so I've been pretty preoccupied.

Anyhoo, we did get to have a few fun outings this month despite all the sickness. We went to St. George to see Kylen's brother Kody as he just got back from his 1st Marine tour of duty to Afghanistan. (I'm an idiot and didn't take any pics of him...sorry). We had fun bowling and hanging out with him and our sis-in-law Amber and her kids. It was nice and warm and just wonderful down there!

The next week I took the kids for our annual Gardner Village trip to see the witches. It was freezing cold and Kathryn was anti-pictures while standing next to a big tall witch, so this was all I could get.


Hours after this, I took her into the dr and he discovered a 2nd ear infection...nice, right?

So there you go...a few moments of fun in our crazy October :)
