I just thought I would let everyone know that JJ is having surgery on Halloween for an inguinal hernia, and while they're at it to trim his tongue tie. Please keep him in your prayers next week.
Thanks, Jen

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Bart and I took the girls to a nearby pumkin patch for Family Home Evening last Monday. As we took the hayride through the fields, I could only imagine how fun it would be to create an Autumn event such as this at the farm. It attracted a ton of people and had really simple attractions. It's obvious I'm formulating unrealistic reasons to go back. I really miss NY this time of year. Anyway, here are a few photos from our trip!
P.S. Note the photo where I'm walking along Sophie's pony. This picture was taken just moments before I stepped right in a pile of #*%#. Oops, I mean leaves.

Family Birthdays
You may have noticed that on the right side and down I have added all of our birthdays so we can know whose are coming up. Did you know that you can send free e-cards to people? I think it's really nice to get birthday emails, and you can do them with songs or funny little cartoons. My favorite site to send them from is http://www.hallmark.com/, although there are many others. I'm still missing just a few people on this, but I'm working on it so don't worry...I didn't forget anyone. I'll have them all on there real soon.

Happy Fall!!
Hi family! I hope fall is treating you all well with beautiful colors (and less allergies than what we have here!) My neighborhood is the capital of sagebrush so I'm enjoying and hating it all at the same time.
Thanks to the Lomeli's for starting up your own blog and putting parts of Isaac's letters on it...I think it's so important and I love hearing his stories. He's an incredible example to all of us.
Here's a quick update on Kathryn (quick, right): In the past month or so, she has mastered rolling both ways and even scooting herself forward to grab wayward toys! This past week she's started to sit up by herself for a few minutes at a time and standing with support. I know most babies do the standing thing earlier, but she just had no desire until now. This morning I held her standing up on the floor with her doing most of the work for about a minute! Doesn't sound like much, but it has seriously just been overnight that she's started doing this. I'm a proud and scrambling for babyproof stuff mom! Kylen and I are going to try to get outside before the colors are gone to take some family pictures...I'll be sure to post them when we do. Hope you all enjoy the new background, too! I'll do my best to keep it up.
