Middle Eastern Cuisine

Hi all! Kambria and I went to a cooking class Friday night that demonstrated some fun Middle Eastern recipes. It was so fun and the food was delicious! We had Pistachio Rose Ice Cream that made us think of Grandpa! Also, hummus with pine nuts, egyptian feta salad, cucumber yogurt dipping sauce and a few more dishes.
I was unaware that there is a Middle Eastern market called Shah razed at 1615 W. 2100 S. This is where the cook bought the hard to find ingredients and where she recommended buying lamb. They also had "thin pita bread" that tasted more like our Syrian bread than any pita bread I've had. We may have been the only family members out here that haven't been to this market yet, but I thought I'd share just in case!
Kambria and I are proposing a Middle Eastern Cuisine night! I'm offering my mother's house to host the event. Anybody interested in preparing a dish...or just to eat?
