Mark Your Calendars!
Our one and only Elder Gabriel will be holding his homecoming on New Year's Day 2012. His ward's sacrament meeting begins at 10:50am, so arrive a bit early and we can sit together on the soft seats :) We'll get more location details as the day approaches, but as for now, mark your calendars!

The Cousin County Fair outing
Kambria was the brains of this amazing operation. An email invite was sent out to all the Gabriel cousins, in Utah :(, and miraculously everyone had room in their schedule to come! It ended up being fun and memorable. I wanted to post about how the night went because due to the carnival ride "star trooper" I was not talkative for the rest of the night. I wanted you all to know that despite loosing my cookies (french fries) I had a great time!
Kambria brought her camera, as promised and the kiddies were cute as ever! Kathryn was smiling the entire time! Sammi found a goat that was "attracted" to her since it chased her out of the petting zoo. Sophie realized she had wasted her tickets by going on a ride with Gabe and Kathryn, when after 30 seconds she looked bored as can be. Preston, course he's not one of the kids... got his funnel cake and fried snickers. And I think I'll forever remember Bart's great laugh as he looked at my face while we spun around in the human centrifuge.
Hopefully everyone got their fill of the County fair. But next year Isaac get's to ride on the "star trooper" with Sophie. ;)
p.s. post some pictures here if you can! Love you all!

Public or Private?
Does anyone prefer that we make this family blog private? or should we keep it public? I was just thinking that since Jen, Angie and I all have private blogs, it would only keep things consistent if we made this one private so any posted pictures of our kids and families were kept safer. What do you think?

Update your Family History Files!
It was wonderful to be able to go through the temple for Kambria's endowment with so many family members present. We missed a few of you that could not make it. At the same time, we were blessed to feel the presence of family that has gone before us as we completed their temple work. Thank you SO MUCH to those of you that stood in as proxy for these individuals.
Because new family search doesn't allow us to see our info accurately, here are the ordinances that were performed so you can keep your own records up to date. I listed the dates of birth next to the names since we have many ancestors with the same or similar names. Be sure you update the correct people. All ordinances were done in the Bountiful temple on 6 May 2011.
Baptisms/Initiatories/Confirmations were completed for the following people:
Joseph David - DOB 1914
George David - DOB 1915
Samir Daoud (David)- DOB 1932
John Joseph David - DOB 1892
Joseph Daoud - DOB 1858
Yusef Daoud - DOB 1914
Frederick Shia - DOB 1921 (his name is listed incorrectly in the PAF file and needs to be changed. It is listed backwards as Shia Frederick, but should be edited to be Frederick Shia)
Endowments were completed for:
Joseph David - DOB 1914
George David - DOB 1915
Samir Daoud (David)- DOB 1932
John Joseph David - DOB 1892
Joseph Daoud - DOB 1858

Thank you

Just a quick update on our situation...Bart accepted a job offer a few weeks ago and started work as an account executive at Saxton Horn, an advertising company owned by Larry H. Miller. They focus on advertising for mostly Larry H. Miller companies. Bart is over 8 different car dealerships in Utah. He is enjoying a new industry and especially enjoying work outside of the house a lot more (I did a good job of putting him to work while he was around):)
Since it is somewhat of a new industry for him, he is adjusting to being the guy asking the questions, instead of being the guy who has all the answers. It was made pretty clear to him when he was hired, that he was hired more for his leadership and management skills and that he has a good chance of advancement to a more lucrative position in the next year. He has a strong history of proving his worth quickly so I have all the confidence in the world that he will get the job he needs to make what we need to make.
In the meantime, I will be going back to work a lot more for the next 6 months or so to help with things. I am lucky to have Adrienne, my father-in-law, and my good friend to help me watch the kids while I work. It has turned out to be a blessing on both ends.
Both Bart and I want to thank everyone of you for your prayers, fasting and active support. We are sooo blessed to be part of a family who looks out for each other and goes to great lengths to help one another. We look forward to the day that we can offer the same type of support in return. We love you!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
While we were visiting the farm for Thanksgiving I tried to capture a moment alone with Grandpa and Grandma. I had Grandpa read the Christmas Story from the New Testament and Grandma read a book by Max Lucado. I think it was called You Are Special. These are longer than I thought, but at least you'll get to see them and listen to their voices! Merry Christmas!
Well, turns out we missed out on Grandpa's video afterall, but we still have Grandma!
